Tom Lawler is an advisor to Parven Pomper Strategies in addition to his role as Director of Public Policy with Natsource. Previously, Mr. Lawler was the principal energy and environmental adviser to Senator Tom Carper of Delaware, the Chairman of the Environment and Public Works Subcommittee on Clean Air and Nuclear Safety. Mr. Lawler was responsible for managing Senator Carper’s agenda for the Subcommittee, and all of the Subcommittee’s oversight activities.
Mr. Lawler provided critical legislative and policy advice in the drafting of the Clean Air Planning Act, which is currently the leading bipartisan legislation in the U.S. Senate dealing with power plant emissions, including nitrogen oxide, sulfur dioxide, mercury, and carbon dioxide. Mr. Lawler also served as the Deputy-Director of then-Governor Mitt Romney’s Washington office, and has worked in environmental policy for the National Governors’ Association and the American Forest Products Association. Mr. Lawler completed his degree at Baylor University.
